Devil Jerkbait

The MiFine Devil Jerkbait is a short, heavy-duty lure rod designed specifically for working large, heavy jerkbaits, swimbaits, large minnow-style lures, and hard jerkbaits in the 20–100 g range. The H-power rating across all models and the stout lure weight floors (11/16 oz minimum on the shorter, 1 7/16 oz on the longer) indicate this is outside the finesse tool lane. Target species likely include pike, large perch, zander, asp on larger rivers, or bass on European/Asian waters, the lure weights are consistent with European pike/zander jerkbait fishing or North American-style large swimbait fishing.

At 4'11" and 5'7", both lengths are short by Western standards, consistent with a rod built for powerful, wide-arc jerking motions instead of distance casting. The series gives anglers both spinning and casting format for each length, an unusual split that acknowledges both angler preferences for heavy lure work. MiFine provides limited construction details; the short length and H power suggest a stiff, low-modulus carbon or composite blank. No mid-powers or light options exist in this series.

Four models in a clean 2-length x 2-style grid: 150 cm (4'11") and 170 cm (5'7"), each in spinning (917-) and casting (A917-) formats. Lure ceiling increases with the longer model (3 1/2 oz vs 2 13/16 oz). The casting models share the same power and length as their spinning counterparts, anglers choose based on reel preference, not technique differentiation.
