Creek Dance

The PureLure Creek Dance is a micro-lure freshwater series built for tight-quarters stream trout fishing, BFS (baitfinesse) casting, and ultralight spinning in small rivers and creeks. Target species are trout, char, and pan-sized predators in confined, clear water where accuracy matters more than distance. The series is made for anglers who fish technical stream sections where conventional gear is too heavy or too long for accurate placement around structure. Blanks use a 4-axis carbon weave construction (cross-woven carbon layers) to reduce rotational flex and improve torsional rigidity under the light loads common with 1/32–3/16oz lures, a meaningful difference in tip accuracy when casting in tight corridors.

Components include Fuji guides and a red willow wood or cork reel seat depending on model. All models are two-piece; no true multi-piece travel configurations are present. Line ratings top out at 6lb; most models are rated for 1–5lb, reflecting pure small-stream finesse use. Eleven models across spinning and casting formats (roughly equal split), spanning 4'9"–6'0". UL and L power are the only ratings in the series. The 4'9" models (CE-C492UL, CE-S492UL) are the shortest and target the tightest stream sections.

The 6'0" models offer slightly more reach for open-bank situations. MF action is standard on UL models; F action on most L-power versions. Casting and spinning variants at each length share nearly identical specs, giving anglers a format choice without sacrificing coverage.
