Ultralight BFS and finesse spinning series for stream trout and light bass techniques
The PureLure Sigama II (also appearing as Lurestar Sigama II in some markets) is a compact ultralight BFS-oriented rod series covering both casting and spinning formats for stream and finesse bass fishing. It is built for anglers using light-line baitcasters or spinning reels to present micro-lures, small spoons, minnow plugs, and drop-shots, where casting weight floors around 1/32 oz are required. The fast action across the lineup prioritizes hook-up responsiveness over casting load.
Blank construction details are limited in available English-language sources. The rod utilizes 4-axis carbon weave technology on outer layers to reduce torsional twist, consistent with PureLure's broader range construction. Cork or cork-hybrid grips and ceramic guides appear on the BFS baitcasting models (C-prefix); spinning models (S-prefix) share the same length/power specs. Known specs on the C592L confirm 2-piece construction, lure range to about 7g, and a 100g rod weight, modest by modern standards but within budget BFS norms.
Lengths span 4'9" to 7'3", UL through L power, with fast action throughout. Casting models top out at 7'0" (C702L) while spinning extends to 7'3" (S732L), giving spinning anglers a longer option for distance. The UL models (492UL, 532UL) are the stream-focused entries; L-power models at 6'6"+ suit wider water and heavier micro-lures. No MH or M power offered, this is strictly a finesse series.
