The Compre Lite is Shimano's mid-range spinning series for trout and panfish, built on blanks reinforced with Shimano's DIAFLASH technology. This process applies opposing carbon fiber wraps to the lower section of the blank, reducing rotational twist under load and improving hookset transmission with light-line presentations. The six models cover ultra-light through medium-light power with fast actions throughout, all priced at $99.99.
Fuji guides are standard across the lineup, providing smooth line flow that matters with 2- to 10-pound monofilament and light fluorocarbon. A Fuji reel seat locks down a spinning reel securely for direct power transfer, and AAA Cork grips run 7 to 8.5 inches depending on rod length. The series addresses trout-specific techniques including float fishing, light lure casting, and targeting suspended panfish with forward-facing sonar, with each model tuned around a specific combination of length and power for those applications.
The six-rod lineup ranges from 6 feet to 7'6". Lure ratings top out at 3/16 oz on the UL models and reach 3/8 oz on the 7'6" ML. Line ratings span 2-6 lb for UL through 6-10 lb for the ML. Three lengths are offered in UL power (6'0", 6'9", and 7'1") alongside matching L models at the two longer lengths, giving anglers options across rod length without changing power rating.

6-foot Ultra Light fast-action, 1/32-3/16 oz, 2-6 lb mono. The most compact model in the series. Works small streams, tight brushy cover, and bobber fishing in confined areas. Shortest grip at 7 inches. Good choice for creek trout and small-water bluegill.
6'9" Light fast-action, 1/16-1/4 oz, 4-8 lb mono. Steps up from the UL in both length and power at the same blank length as the 69UL. Added power handles slightly heavier lures and larger fish without sacrificing the sensitivity needed for panfish bites.
6'9" Ultra Light fast-action, 1/32-3/16 oz, 2-6 lb mono. Adds 9 inches over the 60UL for improved casting distance and reach. Suited for finesse panfish tactics and trout on mid-sized rivers where longer casts are required. 7.7-inch grip.
7'1" Light fast-action, 1/16-1/4 oz, 4-8 lb mono. A versatile all-around length for trout and panfish in open water. Light power handles inline spinners, small crankbaits, and a wide range of soft plastics for crappie and bluegill. 8.5-inch grip.
7'1" Ultra Light fast-action, 1/32-3/16 oz, 2-6 lb mono. Same length as the 71L but in the lightest power rating, suited for the most finesse presentations. A noted fit for FFS-assisted suspended panfish fishing and small jig work with 2-4 lb fluorocarbon.
7'6" Medium Light fast-action, 3/16-3/8 oz, 6-10 lb mono. The longest and most powerful model in the series. Handles heavier lures including small swimbaits, spinners, and float rigs targeting larger trout and bass-sized panfish. 8.5-inch grip.
