The Compre Salmon/Steelhead Trolling series consists of three 2-piece moderate-action baitcasting rods in 9-foot, 9-foot-6-inch, and 10-foot-6-inch lengths, all rated heavy class for 10-30 lb line and 1-6 oz. This uniform rating across the series targets Pacific salmon trolling scenarios with downriggers, divers, and flasher-and-bait rigs. The trolling rods use a carbon tube handle construction for reduced weight and improved sensitivity to lure action while trolling.
The SeaGuide Zirconia guides carry the same sloped-frame construction as the rest of the Compre Salmon/Steelhead lineup. A 14.8-inch rear grip and the carbon tube handle give solid purchase on the rod when fighting fish against downrigger or diver resistance. All three models share a moderate action that loads the blank through the mid-section, providing a visual indicator of lure action while underway.
