COMPRE WALLEYE SPINNING
12-model extra-fast walleye spinning series with AA cork and SeaGuide zirconia guides, 5'6" to 7'6"
The Compre Walleye Spinning (D generation) is the predecessor spinning lineup to the current E series, built on blanks vetted by experienced walleye anglers for sensitivity and action characteristics suited to the full range of walleye spinning techniques. Blanks carry SeaGuide zirconia guides, a harder ring material than aluminum oxide that provides good line management and wear resistance. Reel seats are Fuji, and handles are full AA cork with a minimal 0.7-inch foregrip across all 12 models.
All models in this series are extra-fast action, spanning medium-light through medium-heavy power ratings. Lure weights range from 1/16-1/4 oz on the lightest medium-light rods to 3/8-1 oz on the medium-heavy configurations. Lengths cover 5'6" through 7'6", with two-piece options available in several lengths for travel convenience. Line classes run 4-10 lb on the lightest models and 8-15 lb on the medium-heavy configurations.
The extra-fast taper across all models prioritizes tip sensitivity for detecting light walleye bites while retaining enough mid-blank power to control fish and drive hooks. The series covers vertical jigging, finesse presentations, and heavier snap-jigging from a single consistent action family with power variations handling the range of lure weights common to walleye-specific spinning techniques.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 12 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.

Model notes
All 12 models5'6", single-piece, extra-fast, medium-heavy. Rated 3/8-1 oz and 8-15 lb line. The shortest and one of the heaviest-powered models, suited to ice-out vertical jigging or close-quarters boat fishing where a compact MH blank provides control over heavier jigs in tight spaces.
5'6", two-piece, extra-fast, medium-heavy. Same 3/8-1 oz and 8-15 lb ratings as the one-piece 56MHD, with two-piece breakdown for travel or compact storage. Appropriate for the same close-range, heavier jig applications in a packable format.
6'3", single-piece, extra-fast, medium power. Rated 1/8-3/8 oz and 6-12 lb line. A versatile mid-length jig rod handling a broad middle range of walleye jig weights. The extra-fast tip provides sensitivity for light finesse jigs while the medium power blank manages typical walleye-sized fish.
6'3", two-piece, extra-fast, medium-heavy. Rated 3/16-3/4 oz and 8-15 lb line. Slightly lighter on the bottom end of the lure range compared to the E-series MH at 6'3", making it appropriate for mid-to-heavy jigs in the 6'3" length in a packable two-piece format.
6'6", single-piece, extra-fast, medium-light. Rated 1/16-1/4 oz and 4-10 lb line. One of the finesse options in the D series, designed for small jig heads, drop-shot rigs, and light live bait presentations where maximum tip sensitivity is needed at a mid-range casting length.
6'6", single-piece, extra-fast, medium power. Rated 1/8-3/8 oz and 6-12 lb line. A general-purpose 6'6" spinning rod for standard walleye jig weights, split-shot rigs, and light crankbaits. The extra-fast action keeps the tip responsive while the 6'6" length offers improved casting distance over shorter models.
6'6", two-piece, extra-fast, medium power. Same ratings as the one-piece 66MD with two-piece breakdown for transport. Shares the same application range covering standard walleye jig weights and presentations in a travel-friendly format.
6'8", two-piece, extra-fast, medium-heavy. Rated 3/16-3/4 oz and 8-15 lb line. Adds length over the 6'3" MH models for additional reach while remaining in the heavier-power bracket. Two-piece construction suits anglers who need the MH capability in a storable configuration.
7-foot, single-piece, extra-fast, medium-light. Rated 1/16-1/4 oz and 4-10 lb line. The 7-foot length extends casting range for open-water finesse work with very light jigs and drop-shot presentations, where additional distance from the target and a longer lever for hook-setting are both useful.
7-foot, single-piece, extra-fast, medium power. Rated 1/8-3/8 oz and 6-12 lb line. A standard-weight 7-foot jigging rod covering typical walleye jig sizes. The 7-foot length pairs well with longer casts over flats and points, and the extra-fast action maintains sensitivity at distance.
7-foot, two-piece, extra-fast, medium power. Identical specs to the one-piece 70MD in action, power, and ratings. The two-piece format accommodates transport in shorter cases and is the travel option for anglers who routinely fish the 7-foot medium extra-fast configuration.
7'6", single-piece, extra-fast, medium power. Rated 1/8-3/8 oz and 6-12 lb line. The longest model in the D series, useful for long-distance casting with light jigs, controlling line drift in current, or fishing from elevated positions like high-sided boats where additional reach improves presentation angle.
