CONVERGENCE CRAPPIE
Two-piece crappie spinning rods in 10' and 12' for light jig and live-bait presentation
The Convergence Crappie series applies the same Convergence blank and component platform to long-pole crappie fishing, offering two extended-length spinning rods built for light-line work in still and moving water. Both models are two-piece, use a lightweight carbon blank, and carry SeaGuide aluminum oxide guides. The Fuji reel seat provides sensitivity and a secure reel lock, and cork grips with a 10.5-inch rear handle and 5.7-inch foregrip support the longer reach of these rods.
Both rods are rated for 4-10 lb monofilament and 1/32-1/4 oz lures - a range that covers small jigs, tube baits, and live minnow rigs used in crappie fishing. The medium-light power and fast action keep sensitivity high for detecting the soft takes common to slab crappie. The two-piece design means both rods pack to roughly half their fishing length for transport.
The 10-foot model is priced at $79.99 and the 12-foot at $84.99, a modest step-up for the additional reach. The longer 12-foot blank extends the angler's working range for dipping presentations along dock edges, brush piles, and standing timber - techniques common to crappie fishing.
