The GLF Casting B series applies the same Gulf Coast inshore design philosophy as its spinning counterpart to four baitcasting models spanning 6'6" to 7'0". All blanks are one-piece and carry moderate-fast actions in Medium Light and Medium power, rated for lures from 1/8 oz up to 1/2 oz. Hardware includes Titanium Oxide guides, a Shimano Custom Reel Seat, and an 8.7-inch hybrid EVA and rubber cork grip sized for trigger-grip casting ergonomics.
DIAFLASH technology is applied to the butt section of every model in the lineup. The diagonally-wrapped carbon tape forms an intersecting pattern that controls torque during the casting stroke and under fighting pressure, translating more of the angler's hook-set force directly to the hook rather than losing energy to blank rotation. The shorter butt section is consistent with the spinning series and benefits wading anglers who work in hip-to-waist-deep water.
The casting series covers the practical length range for inshore baitcasting work. The 6'6" and 6'9" models offer handling precision around structure, while the 7'0" options extend reach for open-water presentations. Medium Light at 7'0" adds a finesse casting option for anglers working lighter jig heads and finesse soft plastics on baitcasting gear.

This length suits tight casting situations around docks, oyster bars, and marsh cuts where trajectory control matters more than distance. Moderate-fast action keeps the tip responsive while DIAFLASH technology stiffens the butt for solid hook sets.
A 6'9" Medium power model rated for 1/4-1/2 oz, splitting the difference between the 6'6" and 7'0" options. The added length over the GLFC66MB provides a modest increase in casting distance and leverage without moving into the 7-foot range. Practical for wade fishing open grass flats where some extra reach is useful but a full 7-foot rod feels long.
The 7'0" Medium model carries the same 1/4-1/2 oz rating as the shorter casting models and adds length for maximizing distance on open-water presentations. The extra length increases line speed during the casting stroke and gives more control when working lures through tidal current or wind. Moderate-fast action handles standard inshore artificials from jerkbaits to soft plastics.
The sole Medium Light option in the GLF Casting series, rated for 1/8-3/16 oz at 7'0". Designed for finesse casting work including light jig heads and small paddletails on baitcasting tackle, a setup used by Gulf Coast anglers targeting speckled trout in clear shallow water. The softer power provides more feel during the retrieve and protects light leaders under pressure.
