The redesigned Grappler Type J Cast series uses Spiral X and Hi-Power X blank construction throughout its 8-model lineup. Spiral X construction layers carbon tape diagonally in opposite directions around a vertical-fiber core for enhanced compressional and torsional rigidity without added weight. Hi-Power X wrapping on the outer blank layer adds twist resistance and sharpens power transmission.
ML through MH models carry Shimano's CI4+ reel seat for sensitivity and reduced weight. H through XXH models step to a V Hold front grip design that improves leverage during the fight. All models run 1 piece with EVA grips. PowerPro line ratings run from 30lb on the ML to 100lb on the XXH.
The casting range spans 6'0" to 5'8", covering ML up to XXH power. Lengths run longer on lighter models and shorter on heavier, following the typical jigging convention. Priced from $329.99 to $359.99.
