Insurgence
2026 inshore saltwater casting and spinning rods, 6'6" to 8', Light to XXH, Fast action, Hi-Power X blanks and Fuji O guides
Insurgence is a 2026 Shimano North America inshore series of 13 rods: three casting models (INC codes) and ten spinning models (INS codes), introduced with Shimano's 2026 ICAST lineup. The casting models run 6'10" to 7' in Medium Light, Medium and Medium Heavy. The spinning models run 6'6" to 8' from Light to Extra Extra Heavy. Every model is Fast action. All are one-piece except the two 8' spinning models (Extra Heavy and Extra Extra Heavy), which are two-piece. Shimano names redfish, snook and trout for the casting models, and describes the 6'6" MH+ for casting under mangroves and around docks and the 8' XXH for tarpon.
Shimano lists the blank material as Hi-Power X, its diagonally wrapped carbon tape that forms an X pattern on the blank's outer layer to resist twist. Guides are Fuji O and the reel seat is CI4+. Shimano's product copy describes Carbon Monocoque rear grips, a hollow carbon structure in place of EVA or cork; the store's spec field lists the grip material as cork plus carbon, and cork alone on the two 8' models.
Line ratings are printed for PowerPro braid only, from 8-15 lb (INS70L) to 65-80 lb (INS80XXH); Shimano publishes no mono or fluorocarbon rating for the series. Lure ratings run from 1/10-1/5 oz to 2-5 oz. List prices are $329.99 for most models, $339.99 for the INS70H, INS76M and INS76MH, and $379.99 for the two 8' models.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 13 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
