The Ocea Plugger Limited is a two-piece spinning rod built for surface plug and popper fishing from shore or boat, targeting large pelagic species. The blank uses Spiral X Core construction, which integrates Shimano's carbon tape spiral wrapping with Toray Nanoalloy technology to increase torsional rigidity by up to 10% and compressional rigidity by up to 15% compared to standard Spiral X. Hi-Power X diagonal carbon tape wrapping on the outer layer adds twist resistance and sharpens action response under load. The result is a blank that maintains tracking accuracy during full-power casts with heavy plugs and holds structural integrity through sustained fights against large fish.
X Guide Touch-Free Titanium guides with SiC rings run the full length, sized to converge PE braid quickly off the reel and minimize blank contact from loose line during the cast. Each guide uses double-wrap thread finishing for durability. The Screw Lock Joint connects the two sections with a twist-to-lock mechanism that increases fixing force during use and releases cleanly when unjointed. A V-shaped front grip cross-section improves hand engagement during power fights, and the CI4+ reel seat reduces weight at the grip while maintaining rigidity for reel fixation.
Four models cover lure weights from 2 oz up to 14 oz across 10'0" and 10'3" lengths in MH, H, XH, and XXH power ratings. All models are two-piece with the joint at the grip section. Dedicated guide covers are included on all models except the S83M. MSRP is $799.99 per rod.

10'0" medium-heavy, two-piece, rated 2–5 oz. The lightest model in the lineup, suited for smaller surface poppers and pencil baits targeting midsized pelagics like GT, tuna, and kingfish. The medium-heavy power allows the blank to work lighter plugs with more action while still providing enough backbone for protracted fights.
10'0" extra-heavy, two-piece, rated 5–10 oz. Built for large surface poppers and heavy stickbaits targeting large GT, yellowfin, and similar offshore species. Retains the 10-foot length for maximum casting range while delivering the lifting power required for heavy drag settings against strong fish.
10'3" double extra-heavy, two-piece, rated 7–14 oz. The longest and most powerful model in the series, handling the heaviest plugs in the lineup. The extra 3 inches of length over the other models adds casting leverage for large poppers at range. Targeted at the largest pelagic species and the heaviest surface-iron applications.
