The Talavera Bluewater Ring Guide Slick Butt is a 6-foot conventional rod series with a smooth, non-gimbaled slick butt configuration suited to rod holder fishing without a fighting belt. The series spans 6'0" and 6'6" lengths in powers ranging from Medium through Heavy and actions of Moderate Fast (6'0" models) and Moderate (6'6" models). Hardware throughout includes Fuji O-ring guides, which are standard offshore constructions for strength and corrosion resistance.

The slick butt profile differs from the uni-butt models in that it uses a 10.5-inch EVA slick butt rather than an aluminum gimbaled butt, making it well-suited for rod holder use without requiring a fighting belt. The foregrip measures 12 inches across all models. Line ratings span 15-30 lb for the lighter powers up to 25-50 lb for the Heavy 6'6" model.
