TALAVERA BLUEWATER RING GUIDE SLICK BUTT B
2026 B-generation 6'0"-6'6" slick butt conventionals, M to H, 15-50 lb mono, Fuji O guides
The Talavera Bluewater Ring Guide Slick Butt B is the 2026 B generation of Shimano North America's Talavera Bluewater ring-guide slick butt conventionals: five one-piece rods at 6'0" and 6'6". The two 6'0" models (Medium Heavy, Heavy) have Moderate Fast action; the three 6'6" models (Medium, Medium Heavy, Heavy) have Moderate action. Shimano lists the blank material as UD Glass with DIAFLASH carbon-tape reinforcement in the butt section. Guides are Fuji O, and every model has a 12" foregrip and a 10.5" slick butt rear grip in EVA with shrink tube.
Mono ratings are 20-40 lb (TEBC60MHSBB), 25-50 lb (TEBC60HSBB), 15-30 lb (TEBC66MSBB), 20-40 lb (TEBC66MHSBB) and 25-50 lb (TEBC66HSBB). Shimano prints no braid rating for this subfamily. All five list at $149.99, the same as the A generation.
The model lineup, lengths, actions and powers match the A generation. The printed mono ratings of the two 6'0" models are higher than in the A table, which listed 15-30 lb for the TEBC60MHSBA and 20-40 lb for the TEBC60HSBA; the 6'6" ratings are unchanged. Shimano's store lists the rod type as Trolling and the technique as General.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 5 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
