TALAVERA BOAT CASTING D
2026 D-generation 6'6"-7'0" boat casting rods, MH to XH, 30-100 lb braid, Fuji O guides
The Talavera Boat Casting D is the 2026 D generation of Shimano North America's Talavera Boat casting rods: five one-piece models with Fast action, three at 6'6" (Medium Heavy, Heavy, Extra Heavy) and two at 7'0" (Medium Heavy, Heavy). Shimano lists the blank material as graphite, with DIAFLASH carbon tape reinforcing the lower section of the blank. Guides are Fuji O, the reel seat is Fuji, and the grips are EVA (V Hold shape) with a 12.5" rear grip and a rubber gimbal; the foregrip is 10" on the 6'6" models and 7.9" on the 7'0" models.
Shimano prints PowerPro braid ratings only: 30-50 lb for the Medium Heavy models, 30-65 lb for the Heavy models and 50-100 lb for the 6'6" Extra Heavy. All five list at $119.99.
The model codes, lengths, powers, action, grip dimensions and price match the C generation. Shimano states that the D generation has refreshed cosmetics and a blank with a lighter feel; the spec tables show the guides changing from SeaGuide Zirconia to Fuji O, and DIAFLASH is new to the series. Shimano lists the series for light offshore and inshore fishing from a boat.
