2026 D-generation 6'6"-7'0" boat spinning rods, ML to H, 10-65 lb braid, Fuji O guides
The Talavera Boat Spinning D is the 2026 D generation of Shimano North America's Talavera Boat spinning rods: six one-piece models with Fast action, two at 6'6" (Medium Heavy, Heavy) and four at 7'0" (Medium Light, Medium, Medium Heavy, Heavy). Shimano lists the blank material as graphite, with DIAFLASH carbon tape reinforcing the lower section of the blank. Guides are Fuji O, the reel seat is Fuji, and every model has a 5.9" foregrip and a 14.5" EVA rear grip (V Hold shape) with a rubber gimbal.
Shimano prints PowerPro braid ratings only: 10-30 lb (7'0" Medium Light), 20-30 lb (7'0" Medium), 30-50 lb (Medium Heavy) and 30-65 lb (Heavy). All six list at $119.99.
The C generation had five models; the D adds the 7'0" Medium Light (TES70MLD). The other five match their C counterparts in length, power, action, grip dimensions and price. Shimano states that the D generation has refreshed cosmetics and a blank with a lighter feel; the spec tables show the guides changing from SeaGuide Zirconia to Fuji O, and DIAFLASH is new to the series. Shimano lists the series for light offshore and inshore fishing from a boat.
