2026 A-generation 6'0" speed-jigging spinning rods, ML to MH, jigs to 250 g, Fuji O guides
The Talavera Type J Spinning A is the 2026 A generation of Shimano North America's Talavera Type J spinning rods for speed jigging: three one-piece 6'0" models with Fast action in Medium Light, Medium and Medium Heavy power. Shimano lists the blank material as graphite, with DIAFLASH carbon tape reinforcing the lower blank. Guides are Fuji O, the reel seat is Fuji, and the EVA grips have a 3.75" foregrip and a 7" rear grip (14.5" grip length).
Shimano prints maximum ratings only: PowerPro braid to 30, 40 and 50 lb and jigs to 150, 200 and 250 g for the ML, M and MH respectively. All three list at $109.99.
Compared with the previous unsuffixed Type J Spinning, the Light model (TTJS60L) has no A counterpart, the guides change from SeaGuide Zirconia to Fuji O, the foregrip shortens from 6" to 3.75" and the printed grip length from 17.4" or 16.5" to 14.5", DIAFLASH is new, and the list price drops from $119.99 to $109.99. Shimano lists the series for speed jigging for a range of gamefish.
