TECHNUM CENTERPIN B
Two-piece 13-foot moderate-action rods for centerpin float steelhead and salmon fishing
The Technum Centerpin B is a two-piece 13-foot rod built for centerpin float fishing for steelhead and salmon. The TC4 glass and graphite carbon blank construction provides the strength-to-weight ratio and flex characteristics that long-line float presentations require. Both models carry moderate action and a 20-inch cork grip suited to the long-reach casting and mending techniques of centerpin angling. Fuji O-ring guides complete the build.
The lineup spans two power ratings: medium and medium-light. The medium variant handles 8-12 lb line and 3/8-3/4 oz floats and shot combinations, while the medium-light covers 6-12 lb line and lighter 1/4-1/2 oz setups. Both are 2-piece for transport, which matters on multi-day wade or drift boat trips where rod length is a practical constraint.
The Technum Centerpin B sits within the broader Technium series, which covers mooching, trolling, spinning, casting, and sturgeon applications in addition to centerpin work. Pricing runs $209.99 for the ML and $219.99 for the M.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 2 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
