The Teramar HI Casting series was developed specifically for Ulua fishing along the rocky shorelines of Hawaii. Both models use TC4 blank construction, a build method that wraps a T-Glass core in a spiral layer of high-modulus graphite. This combination adds durability while keeping weight down and maintaining the strength required to handle hard-running fish in demanding surf conditions.
Component selection reflects the demands of the fishery. A Fuji DPS reel seat with locking nut locks the reel firmly in place during extended fights, and the diamond-wrapped shrink tube handle provides grip control in wet conditions. A 13-inch stainless steel butt section and American Tackle Company Duralite ceramic guides are built to withstand repeated contact with abrasive rock surfaces.
Both rods measure 13 feet and are built in two pieces with a fast action. The MH model handles 50-60 lb mono and covers situations where some flex is useful for casting distance. The H model steps up to 60-80 lb mono for targeting larger fish or fishing heavier current where added lifting power is required.
