The Teramar XX NE Casting series is a six-rod lineup of one-piece baitcasting rods configured for Northeast inshore species such as striped bass, bluefish, and weakfish. Blanks use Shimano's Spiral X construction, which sandwiches a vertical fiber layer between inner and outer carbon tape layers wound in opposing diagonal directions, increasing compression and torsional rigidity at a given weight. Hi-Power X adds a final outer wrapping of carbon tape in an X pattern, allowing Shimano to tune precise actions across the range of lengths and power ratings in the series.
All six rods fit Fuji FazLite guides and AA cork grips, with foregrip and rear grip lengths scaled to each model's power rating. The heavier H model carries the longest rear grip at 15.5 inches to support two-handed casting while the MH models run 13.5-15 inches depending on length.
