The Teramar XX SE Casting series is a three-model lineup of one-piece baitcasting rods built for Southeast inshore species. Blanks incorporate Shimano's Spiral X construction, which layers carbon tape diagonally in opposing directions around a vertical fiber core to increase compression and torsional rigidity without added weight. Hi-Power X wraps on the outer layer fine-tune action and twist resistance for responsive tip control during long casts and sustained fights.
All three rods carry AA cork grips and Fuji FazLite guides, keeping overall weight down while maintaining corrosion resistance in saltwater environments. The casting grips use a split-grip configuration with foregrip lengths between 3.5 and 4.5 inches, suited for single-handed casting and close-quarters boat work. Lure weight ranges run from 1/2 to 2 oz across the lineup, covering swimbaits, jigs, and hard plastics commonly used in Southeast coastal fisheries.
Power ratings span Medium Heavy through Heavy, and actions run Fast to Extra Fast, giving anglers two distinct tip profiles at the same length. Line ratings top out at 20-40 lb mono and 20-50 lb PowerPro for the heavier models, while the 7-foot MH model drops to 12-25 lb mono, making it the lighter-duty finesse casting option in the group. All models are priced at $349.99.

A closer look at notable models.
Matches the TXECX70MH in length and action (7-foot, Extra Fast) but steps up to Heavy power with 20-40 lb mono and 3/4-2 oz lure capacity. The heavier rating accommodates larger swimbaits and weighted rigs while retaining the fast, sensitive tip response of the Extra Fast taper. Same grip dimensions as the MH model.
A 7-foot Medium Heavy at Extra Fast action, this is the finesse casting option of the SE group. Line class drops to 12-25 lb mono and lures to 1/2-1.5 oz, suiting lighter swimbaits and finesse jigs. The shorter 3.5" foregrip and 9.5" rear grip trim the split-grip profile for agile single-handed work.
The longest model in the SE casting group at 7'6" with Heavy power and Fast action. Rated for 20-40 lb mono and 1/2-2 oz lures, this rod favors bigger baits and heavier leaders for targeting larger inshore species at distance. The 4.5" foregrip and 13.5" rear grip support a two-handed casting stroke when needed.
