The Teramar XX WC Casting series is a premium inshore casting lineup built around Shimano's Spiral X and Hi-Power X blank construction. Spiral X uses three layers of carbon fiber, with inner and outer diagonal carbon tape wraps flanking a vertical-fiber core, producing high compression and torsional rigidity without added weight. Hi-Power X adds a further layer of diagonally wound carbon tape to the blank's exterior, fine-tuned in width and angle by rod section, for crisp action and added twist resistance.
The lineup spans seven models across three lengths: 8-foot one-piece rods in Medium, Medium-Heavy, and Heavy power with Moderate Fast action, and 9-foot and 10-foot two-piece rods in Medium-Heavy through Extra-Heavy power with Fast action. Grip construction uses diamond wrap over composite handles, and all models are equipped with Fuji FazLite guides. Line ratings top out at MAX 65 lb PowerPro on the heavier XH models.
The 8-foot one-piece models carry a 13-inch rear grip and an 11-inch foregrip suited to conventional West Coast casting stances. The two-piece 9- and 10-foot models switch to a 29.5-inch rear grip with no foregrip, configuring them for longer-range presentations from jetties, beaches, and boat decks. Pricing runs $379.99 for single-piece 8-foot models and $409.99-$419.99 for two-piece models.
