The Terez BW BFC Cast series is part of Shimano's Billfish Concept lineup, developed alongside the Talica BFC reel for tournament sailfish and marlin fishing. Blanks use Hi-Power X, Spiral X, and UD Glass construction, and the conventional models incorporate a Winthrop Epic Butt to reduce overall weight while maintaining structural integrity. The series targets anglers trolling ballyhoo or kite-fishing from offshore tournament boats.
Four models span 6'7" in length with Fast action across Medium through Extra Heavy power. Line ratings cover 10-17 lb for the lightest model up to 30-60 lb for the XH, making the series applicable to both light sailfish setups and heavier blue marlin applications. Guides are Fuji SiC throughout. Each model incorporates a Fuji reel seat paired with high-density EVA grips.
The BFC series is designed to balance with the Talica BFC conventional reel. The lighter models at M and MH power are geared toward kite fishing and slow-trolling live baits, while the H and XH models handle larger plugs, cedar plugs, and rigged baits at tournament-level drag settings.

Medium Heavy power at 6'7" and 15-25 lb line class covers the mid-range of sailfish and small blue marlin scenarios. Fast action allows natural bait presentation while the blank delivers enough backbone to turn fish at tournament drag settings.
Extra Heavy power at 6'7" with 30-60 lb line class represents the top of the BFC Cast lineup. Intended for large lures, rigged pitch baits, or situations where maximum drag pressure is needed on blue marlin. Fast action paired with XH power keeps the rod efficient under heavy sustained load.
