TEREZ BW SWORDFISH

The Terez BW Swordfish series is a purpose-built daytime deep-drop rod designed to handle the specific demands of vertical electric swordfishing at depths that can exceed 1,000 feet. At 76 inches total in a two-piece configuration, the blank length aids in stroke and presentation when managing heavy rigs at depth, while Spiral X and Hi-Power X blank construction maintains structural integrity under the compressive forces of lifting large fish from deep water on electric reels.

Guide configuration includes Fuji SiC guides alongside a Winthrop roller tip at the rod's end, a practical addition when heavy monofilament or wind-on leaders cycle through the guide train on long vertical retrieves. The 14-inch high-density EVA foregrip accommodates two-hand operation during the fight. Both models use a Uni-Butt blade-only format, allowing anglers to fit their preferred fighting butt or gimbal system.

Two models are offered: a Heavy rated for 6-10 oz lures and 50-65 lb PowerPro, and an Extra Heavy rated for 8-12 oz and 65-80 lb braid. The lure weight ratings correspond to the lead needed to reach target depths in the Gulf Stream, with the XH handling heavier rigs in faster current conditions.
