The Toadfish Carbon Elite II is an inshore saltwater spinning series built on 40-ton high-carbon graphite blanks, made for species like redfish, speckled trout, flounder, and similar nearshore serves along the Southeast U. S. Coast. The series represents a 25% weight reduction over the original Carbon Elite, achieved through an all-carbon reel seat and butt cap, eliminating traditional metal or graphite-composite hardware. The heaviest model is rated at MH power, and is positioned in the premium-mid-tier price range for serious inshore anglers who fish long days and want a sensitive, fatigue-reducing tool.

Blanks are 40T carbon with Fuji K-Series tangle-free stainless guides for braid compatibility. The reel seat is threadless carbon weave with a low-profile design and soft-touch rubber inlays for grip and comfort. Handles use a combination of carbon blank-through and minimal grip material for minimal weight. Not all models have published power/action data in the available sources, TF7907 and TF7908 list length only, showing these may be specialty models (possibly fly or surf crossover configurations). Nine spinning rods from 5'11" to 7'6".

Powers run ML through MH; actions are F or XF throughout, reflecting inshore technique bias toward fast hooksets and reactive presentations. The 5'11" and 6'8" models cover close-quarters work; 7'2"–7'6" models handle longer casts in open flats and passes. The XF models suit faster retrieves with soft plastics and topwater; F models absorb live-bait runs or provide forgiveness with treble-hooked lures.

A closer look at notable models.

TF7900 Spinning · 5'11" · M · XF action

Shortest and lightest model. At 5'11" with XF action, it handles tight spots under docks or bridges where casting distance is secondary to accuracy and touch. Good for precise lure placement around structure.

TF7905 Spinning · 7'4" · ML · XF action

The combination of 7'4" length with ML power and XF action is unusual, light power at a long length with a fast tip. Suited for light lures thrown at distance on windy flats, or for light-line trout specialists.

TF7906 Spinning · 7'6" · MH · F action

Longest and heaviest model with clear specs. 7'6" MH F suits long flats casts with heavier soft plastics or live croaker/shrimp presentations where a slightly softer tip keeps bait pinned during the fight.
