PURE-line 8'6" egi and rockfish crossover rod for shore bigfin reef squid
Hendrix 862M is a PURE-line shore rod built as an egi and rockfish crossover for Taiwan's coastline, harbours, estuaries and oyster racks, where bigfin reef squid and rockfish share ground. The name references Jimi Hendrix. The blank is Toray T900 with an X cross wrap; guides are Fuji K-frame stainless with Alconite rings. The handle is a custom one-piece sculpted grip that leaves the blank exposed ahead of the grip so the index finger rests on the blank, with laser-engraved text on the exposed section and "SEIZE the X" pressed into the EVA. The finish is a matte gradient with gold lettering, and the blank also carries the "WEFOX LAB+" mark. Ratings are egi 2–4号, PE 0.5–1.0, lures to 22 g, max drag 4.2 kg at 60 degrees, and the rod weighs 130 g. List price is NT$3,800.
