The Eagle is Fenwick's entry-tier umbrella line, structured as a family of technique-specific sub-products under one name. The lineup covers bass (casting and spinning), walleye, salmon and steelhead, saltwater inshore, trout and panfish, and ice fishing. Eagle is positioned below the HMG in Fenwick's hierarchy, made for anglers buying their first technique-specific rod or building out a multi-rod kit without going to mid-tier prices. Blanks are 24-ton graphite, a step down from the 24/30-ton blend used in HMG, which trades some sensitivity for a lower price point.
Each sub-line picks its own action profile: extra-fast for bass jigging and worming, moderate-fast for cranking, fast for inshore work, and slower tapers in the longer salmon and surf models. Reel seats are graphite, handles are cork or EVA depending on sub-line. Made overseas, with a Fenwick warranty. The full Eagle family lists about 69 models split across seven sub-lines, distinguished by model-number prefix. EGLB and EGLCB are bass casting and spinning, EGLW is walleye, EGLINS is inshore saltwater, EGLT is trout and panfish, EGLSS is salmon and steelhead (with a few 9' to 10'6" surf and float models), and EGLICE covers ice fishing in 28 to 37 inch lengths.
Pricing runs from $60 for ice rods to $120 for the longer salmon and steelhead models.
