The HMG Inshore Spinning Rod is Fenwick's mid-tier inshore saltwater spinning series, built for anglers fishing snook, redfish, speckled trout, and similar species with spinning gear. It sits below the Elite Inshore in Fenwick's lineup but above commodity saltwater rods, delivering a balance of sensitivity, durability, and value suited to regular inshore use. It is appropriate for the developing inshore angler and the experienced fisherman seeking a capable workhorse rod.

The blank blends 30-ton and 24-ton high-modulus graphite, bonded with Carbon Bound spiral-wrapped carbon thread for added torsional strength. A Sea-Guide Soft Touch Alien reel seat with positive-lock design keeps the reel secure while maintaining hand contact with the blank. The split-grip handle uses multi-material construction for weight reduction, and Fuji Alconite guides handle all line types. A contoured butt with increased radii sits comfortably against the body during extended fight sessions typical of inshore fishing.

The lineup covers multiple lengths and powers; the documented model HMGINS80H-FS is an 8' Heavy spinning rod rated 15–30 lb line, 3/4–3 oz, Fast action, the heavy-duty configuration suited for larger lures, heavy jigs in current, or oversized redfish. Lighter configurations (Medium, Medium Heavy) and shorter lengths are also available within the HMG Inshore spinning range.

The Heavy/8' configuration is the top end of the HMG Inshore spinning range, suited for throwing larger lures at snook around structure, working heavy jigs in tidal current, or handling oversized redfish. The 8' length adds reach when wade fishing or casting from low-profile kayaks.
