Original
Versatile casting rods for flipping, pitching, crankbait, ledge, and heavy-grass techniques.
The Original series is a five-rod casting lineup focused on power freshwater techniques that require heavy braided line. All five models carry braid-optimized line ratings from 10-80 lb and are identified by technique-suggestive model names: CB76MH (crankbait), HF76H (heavy flipping), TOR76H (topwater/reaction), BJMF78H (big jig/minnow flipper), and TLR710H (title/ledge rod). Powers are Medium-Heavy or Heavy; actions are Moderate-Fast or Fast across the lineup.
All models are 7'6" to 7'10", reflecting a focus on pitching distance and leverage rather than finesse. At $199.99, the Original series fills the gap between the Vursa 2 and the Stunner HD, and predates the V2 platform in the Fitzgerald product history.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 5 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
