The Stunner HD V2 is Fitzgerald's flagship freshwater series, built on 40-Ton Toray carbon blanks with XPT (Xtreme Power Technology) construction. The 27-model lineup spans 6'6" to 8'6" and covers four presentation categories: standard casting (12 models), spinning (8), dedicated crankbait casting (3), and swimbait casting (4). Standard casting and spinning models are all Fast action; crankbait models carry Moderate and Moderate-Fast tapers suited to treble-hooked hard baits; swimbait models are Moderate-Fast from 7'10" to 8'6" for loading and launching larger swimbaits.
Power ratings run from ML through XH. The two XH casting models at 7'8" and 7'10" are rated for 20-80 lb braid and 3/4-3 oz, covering heavy punching and flipper applications within the V2 lineup. Four swimbait-specific rods extend to 8'6" XH for 4-8 oz presentations. Pricing is $229.99 for most models, stepping to $249.99 for the XH castings and $259-299.99 for the 8'6" swimbait models.

At 8'6" XH and $299.99, this is the most specialized rod in the Stunner HD V2 lineup. The 17-40 lb line rating and 4-8 oz lure range are built around large paddle-tail swimbaits of 5-10 inches -- the class of glide baits and belly-weighted swimbaits that require a sustained Moderate-Fast load-and-launch cast rather than a snapping Fast-action delivery. The extra two feet over the V2's standard 7'0"-7'3" castings provide the arc necessary to load a heavy swimbait fully before release, adding meaningful distance on big-water presentations where long casts are needed to reach suspended fish or flats edges. The XH blank provides enough backbone to drive a large hook through the rubber body of a hard-tailed swimbait at distance.
