The Stunner X SPJ is a four-rod slow pitch jigging series at $299.99 built on XPT (Xtreme Power Technology) blanks and designated by a Power 1-4 system matched to jig weight ranges rather than conventional bass-rod power terminology. All models are 6'6" spinning rods with Moderate-Fast action suited to the fall-flutter-lift cadence of slow pitch jigging.
Power ratings correspond to jig weight ranges: Power 1 (75-150g, ~2.6-5.3 oz) for moderate depths; Power 2 (150-300g, ~5.3-10.6 oz) for mid-range; Power 3 (200-400g, ~7.1-14.1 oz) for deeper presentations; Power 4 (250-500g, ~8.8-17.6 oz) for maximum depth. The Moderate-Fast action allows the angler to impart side-to-side flutter on the drop without the stiffness of a conventional jigging stick, which would dampen the jig's free-fall action.

1 of 4 modelsThe Power 1 is the entry point into the Stunner X SPJ system and the most versatile model for anglers new to slow pitch jigging. Its 75-150g jig range (~2.6-5.3 oz) suits depths of roughly 100-250 feet depending on current, covering the productive mid-range depth of most offshore structure in the Gulf of Mexico and along the Atlantic coast. The Moderate-Fast action produces the side-to-side flutter during free fall that is fundamental to the technique; a faster blank would load insufficiently on the drop, while a slower blank would dampen the tip's ability to impart kick on the lift. Pairing with a light, shallow-spool spinning reel and 0.8-1.5 PE braid maximizes sensitivity and allows the jig to fall freely with minimal drag.
