Perigee II

The Perigee II is KastKing's budget two-piece bass and crossover series, built on Toray 24-ton carbon KastFlex blanks. The two-piece design uses KastKing's Power Transition System (PTS) hybrid spigot joint, with computer-controlled blank wrapping at 0, 45, 90, and 135 degree angles intended to keep the action continuous through the ferrule. Components include Fuji O-ring guides, graphite reel seats, and high-density EVA grips.

The 24-rod matrix covers casting from 6'6" to 7'6" and spinning from 5'0" to 7'6". All listed models carry fast or moderate-fast actions. Suffix conventions in the SKU show the PG2 series tag, a 2 marking two-piece construction, and -C or -D showing handle configuration. Twin-tip variants ship with a second interchangeable tip section to give two power ratings from one rod (for example, ML/M and M/MH combos appear in the broader catalog).

Line ratings span 2-6 lb on ultralight up to 14-25 lb on the heavy casting model. Lure ratings run 1/32 oz on the lightest spinning rods through 1/2 to 1 oz on the heavy. Pricing sits well below mid-tier competitors, and the series is commonly recommended as a starter or travel platform.
