Ikametal・Omorig model

This 32-rod set draws from three Major Craft JDM squid families: Solpara SPJIM, Egizaust 1G (EZ1IM), and Egizaust 5G (EZ5IM). All are built for ikametal and omorig, two Japanese boat techniques made for squid with lead-headed jigs (sutte) on vertical presentations. Lure weights are listed in ounces but originate from Japanese gram and go ratings.

Solpara SPJIM is the entry tier with Fuji Alconite tip guides and Fuji reel seats. Egizaust 1G sits above it as a basic Egizaust model carrying down technology from higher-end builds. Egizaust 5G uses R360 manufacturing with Toray T1100G carbon, Fuji stainless SiC guides, and ECS or VSS reel seats. The 5G serves deeper water and faster current where heavier sinkers and metal sutte are required.

Models marked /OMORIG are dedicated to omorig, a technique using a single heavy weight below paired sutte for squid sitting near bottom in deep water or strong tide. Non-OMORIG ikametal models run lighter sinkers for shallower work. B-prefix codes are baitcasting; S-prefix codes are spinning.
