Shinkirow
Variable-length travel rods for saltwater and freshwater lure fishing, 5 to 9 feet
Shinkirow is Monster Kiss's dedicated salt-lure mobile rod series, built around the Variable Length System (VLS) that lets anglers extend or shorten each rod by inserting or removing an internal extension shaft. Every model packs down to 500mm or less in closed length, meeting the brand's Under Fifty Concept for carry-on travel, while the Joint Protect Layering blanks are engineered as short-segment units from the start rather than cut-down long blanks.
The lineup spans ultra-light ajing and finesse rockfish tools up through extra-heavy surf and big-bait casting rods. Most models offer two to four selectable length modes that also shift the feel and power of the blank, allowing a single rod to cover multiple techniques and conditions. Both baitcasting and spinning configurations are represented, with baitcasting models handling heavier saltwater work and spinning models covering light to medium-heavy inshore and light offshore applications.
All Shinkirow blanks use high-elasticity carbon construction and the Edge Guide Architecture guide placement that reinforces joints from the outside. The Module Grip Concept, used on several models, lets the angler reconfigure grip components. The series covers freshwater to saltwater from 5'5" to 9'4" and lure weights from 5g finesse to 250g big-bait territory.

Model notes
3 of 11 modelsThe UP-LIGHT covers four discrete lengths (5'5", 5'10", 6'0", 6'5") from a single 5-piece baitcast blank using the VLS extension shaft and interchangeable solid tips. Despite an ultra-light power rating, it handles vertical metal jig games up to 70g, making it one of the few UL travel rods designed specifically for squid-metal and light offshore vertical work.
TRAVERSE offers six distinct fishing modes by combining four length settings (5'9", 6'2", 6'9", 7'2") with grip reconfiguration via the Module Grip Concept. The shorter 59 and 62 modes prioritize precise rod-work for close-range structure fishing, while the 69 and 72 modes extend reach for shore rockfish and black seabream. No other Shinkirow model delivers this breadth of application from one blank.
PEAK-HUNT is the heaviest Shinkirow, a 2-mode XH baitcaster capable of throwing 4oz-class big baits from shore. The high-elasticity blank enables both long casting and solid hooksets at distance, and the hard-rock Texas-rig mode makes it viable for bottom targeting on rugged coastlines. It represents the upper boundary of what a 50cm-pack travel rod can deliver in raw power.
