Genesis

Genesis is the brand's land-based game family for rock and surf platforms. The Heavy Landbased Game Spec was launched as a new series for 2022 under the name Genesis Rock Addiction; the Light Landbased Game Spec was announced as coming soon in May 2023. Blanks are multi-layer high-modulus carbon with the brand's Cross Carbon reinforcement, described on the 2022 page as Japanese Toray graphite, and both lines are two-piece spin rods with fast tapers. The Heavy models are 10 ft at PE5 (60 to 120 g), 9 ft 7 in at PE6 (80 to 150 g) and 9 ft 3 in at PE8 (100 to 200 g), fitted with Fuji DPS 20 reel seats and Fuji KW stainless SiC guides, for kingfish, tuna, GT and Spanish mackerel on lures, baits or slide rigs. The Light models are 9 ft 6 in at PE2.5, 9 ft 8 in at PE3 and 10 ft at PE4, casting 20 to 85 g, with Fuji VSS 17 seats and Fuji K-series guides, for tailor, salmon, bonito, trevally and school mackerel. The brand credits testing to Gido's Fishing Adventures on the Western Australian coast, and a 2026 brand post records a European angler's roughly 50 kg land-based tuna on a Genesis PE8. Prices are AUD 599.99 and 699.99.
