Insight
Inshore and freshwater lure casting rods with extra-fast actions, baitcast and spin
The Insight family covers creek, estuary, river, bay and reef-flat lure casting. The blanks are custom-rolled high-modulus Japanese Toray graphite with the brand's Cross Core reinforcement, built to an extra-fast action with minimal recoil so the rod casts accurately and works soft plastics, hard bodies and metals without excess tip movement. The Insight Series runs to fifteen models: baitcast rods from 5 ft 8 in to 7 ft 2 in rated from 6 to 12 lb up to 20 to 30 lb, and spin rods at 6 ft 7 in, 7 ft and 7 ft 2 in rated 10 to 17 lb through 15 to 25 lb. Fittings are Fuji guides and reel seats, with the exact pattern varying by model. The Insight BFS, listed in June 2026, is the bait finesse variant: two lengths, 6 ft and 7 ft, in 2 to 6 lb and 4 to 8 lb ratings, on a hollow-core Toray blank with Fuji K-Series stainless guides, Fuji ECS and VSS reel seats and full EVA grips, intended for micro hard bodies, light jigs and finesse plastics on bream, trout, Australian bass, flathead and mangrove jack. Prices run AUD 279.99 to 329.99, which places Insight at the lower end of the catalogue.
