Rampage

The Penn Rampage series covers both conventional boat trolling and vertical jigging applications in a single product line, made for saltwater anglers who need durable, uncomplicated offshore tackle at an accessible price. The boat (BW) models are designed for wire-line and mono trolling from charter-style setups; the jigging (JG) models cover nearshore and offshore jigging from 30 to 130 lb line class. This is workhorse gear for repeated use, not lightweight performance tackle.

Blank construction splits by function. Boat models use tubular glass blanks with solid glass tips, a choice prioritizing durability and tip resistance over sensitivity. Jigging models shift to graphite composite (graphite and fiberglass combined) for a better balance of pull strength and weight. Guides are Fuji aluminum oxide on the jigging models; boat models use heavy-duty stainless frames with aluminum oxide inserts. All versions include rubber gimbals and EVA or Torque grips.

The lineup contains 2 boat/trolling (BW prefix) and 6 jigging models, further split between conventional/casting (C) and spinning (S). Boat rods are both 6 feet in MH and H power. Jigging models run 5'8" to 6'6" across three line classes (30-80, 50-100, 80-130 lb), each offered in casting and spinning variants. The 9'2" model in other Rampage variants is absent here.
