The Marrone is PureLure's general-purpose freshwater and light shore lure rod family — a 2-piece series in L through M power spanning three casting and three spinning models across 6'6" to 7'6". It is the most conventional all-around entry in the current PureLure lineup, covering lure weights from 3g through 24g on 3-16lb line without the technique-specific positioning that defines most other series in the catalog.

The casting lineup offers L, ML, and M power (ME-C662LF, ME-C702M, ME-C762M) with action ratings of Extra Fast for the L model and Fast for the M models. The Extra Fast designation on the lighter casting model serves precision presentations where a sharp blank tip aids both casting accuracy and hookset response with small lures. The two 7-foot-plus M models (ME-C702M, ME-C762M) cover the heavier end of the range where versatile moving presentations and moderate-weight lures are the primary application.

The spinning lineup mirrors the casting range at identical lengths and overlapping power ratings (L, ML, M), all in Fast action — consistent with the moderate finesse applications the series covers. Line ratings are given in lb (3-16lb) rather than PE, indicating conventional mono or fluorocarbon setups appropriate for freshwater bass, light inshore saltwater, and general-purpose spinning or casting work.

Model codes use the "ME" prefix across the series. The Marrone fills the freshwater all-rounder role within the PureLure catalog, serving anglers whose technique range is broad rather than technique-specific — a complement to the more narrowly targeted eging, ajing, and tenya series that form the brand's JDM-technique core.
