Avid Series

The St. Croix Avid Series serves freshwater anglers who want American-made performance without stepping into Legend-tier pricing. Built for bass and general lure fishing, it covers finesse spinning setups through moderate casting applications. The intended user is a serious recreational angler who fishes frequently enough to notice blank sensitivity but isn't competing at the tournament level. Blanks are SCIII+ carbon fiber, a blend of high-modulus and standard-modulus carbon that St. Croix positions as their mid-tier material.

Fuji K-Series Concept guides keep line moving cleanly, and agglomerated cork handles provide grip in wet conditions. Fit and finish are consistent with the price point; outside the parts-bin rod lane. The 15-year transferable warranty applies across the lineup. All 20 models are spinning except four casting models, split equally between 7' M and 7' MH. Spinning covers UL through MH power, in lengths from 6'6" to 7', with both 1-piece and 2-piece versions of most specs (the "2" suffix denotes the 2-piece).

Actions are predominantly Fast, with one XF option at 6'8" M. No heavier casting or surf variants are included, this iteration of the Avid is a freshwater-focused finesse-to-moderate lineup.
