These are the heaviest models in the broader Bass X lineup and are made for tournament and avid recreational anglers who want U. S. -made quality at a competitive price point.

Both rods use SCII graphite blanks, St. Croix's workhorse mid-grade material that delivers a reliable balance of sensitivity and blank strength. Fast action provides a crisp tip response for detecting bites while the heavy backbone absorbs the load of large lures and hard hooksets in dense cover. Fuji guides and St. Croix's standard component package carry through the series at a consistent mid-range price tier.

The lineup is a tight two-rod heavy-end pairing, both at 7'10" fast action: an XH model (14-80lb, 2-5oz) and an XXH model (14-80lb, 4-8oz). The shared length and line rating with a stepped lure-weight range means the only differentiator is raw power and lure size capacity. Spinning variants exist in this sub-series is absent.
