Premium freshwater musky casting rod series from St. Croix, positioned at the high end of their musky lineup. Built for dedicated musky anglers casting large bucktails, glide baits, jerkbaits, and topwater lures on heavy braid, typically 65–100 lb, from boat on lakes in the upper Midwest, Canada, and Great Lakes. The $705–725 price point and materials reflect the serious musky market. Made in Park Falls, WI. Primary blank material is SCVI super high-modulus carbon fiber with FRS (Fortified Resin System) in the lower section for added power and impact resistance.
IPC (Integrated Poly Curve) tooling, ART (Advanced Reinforcing Technology), and TET (Taper Enhancement Technology) construction processes. Guides are silicon nitride rings in titanium frames, corrosion-resistant and appropriate for braid. Fuji PSS-LD Deluxe reel seat. Super-grade cork handles. 15-year transferable warranty. Field and Stream named it Best Musky Rod in 2016, though the series has been updated since. Six single-piece casting models: 7'6" XHF, 8'0" MHF, 8'6" MHF and HF, 9'0" MHF and HF.
Fast action on all. The series cleanly splits into an MH tier (3/4–3 oz lures, 30–65 lb line) for reaction baits and mid-size gliders, and an H tier (3–8 oz, 40–80 lb line) for large bulldogs, heavy bucktails, and big rubber. The 7'6" XHF (4–10 oz, 50–100 lb) handles oversized glide baits and live-bait rigs. Longer models (9') accept two-piece handle configurations for transport.

A closer look at notable models.
Heaviest, shortest model in the series. XH power at 7'6" serves oversized lures, 6-12 inch glide baits, large bulldogs, big rubber shad. Shorter length aids leverage over shorter presentations and reduces fatigue with very heavy lures compared to the 9' models.
The core all-around musky model. MH at 8' handles bucktails, bladed jigs, mid-size jerkbaits, and smaller topwater lures, the broadest daily-use range. A common starting point in the series for anglers new to musky-specific gear.
Longest heavy-power model. Nine feet aids figure-eight presentations at boat side, the extra tip reach traces the arc. H power at this length covers large bulldogs and magnum bucktails without the extreme XH restriction of the 7'6" model.
