Legend Tournament Bass Casting

The Legend Tournament Bass Casting series serves competitive and dedicated freshwater bass anglers who need technique-specific tools instead of general-purpose rods. The lineup covers big-crankbait trolling and frog/punching applications, techniques where blank material and action matter as much as power rating. Minimum lure weight starts at 3/8 oz and tops out at 2.5 oz on the standard carbon models and 5 oz on the braid-rated glass hybrid versions. Two blank technologies split the series. The LBTC models use SCIV+ pure carbon with FRS (Fortified Resin System) and ART reinforcement, optimized for sensitivity and fast-loading cranks.

The LBTG models use an SCIV+ carbon/iAct Linear S-Glass hybrid, which adds load-absorbing flex to keep treble hooks pinned and reduces fish-throwing on reaction strikes. All four rods are 7'10" single-piece construction, keeping length consistent while varying material and power. Fuji K-Series tangle-free guides with Alconite rings are standard; the LBTG braid-rated models run 14–80 lb line, pointing directly at heavy braid applications (frog, punch, heavy swimbaits). All four models are 7'10" casting rods, Spinning variants in this subset is absent.

The pair splits by blank type: two LBTC carbon rods at H/M and XH/M action (crankbait applications, moderate action to load and cushion), and two LBTG glass-hybrid rods at H/F and XH/F fast action (braid/frog/flipping applications). Within each pair, the XH version escalates lure ceiling significantly (1 1/8 oz vs 2.5 oz; 2 oz vs 5 oz), serving heavier jig/swimbait or punch-rig work.
