The Legend Xtreme Inshore is St. Croix's flagship saltwater inshore series, positioned above the Mojo Bass Inshore and Premier Salt in their lineup. It is built for nearshore and flats fishing, redfish, speckled trout, snook, flounder, where cast distance, lure feel, and hookset speed matter more than raw pulling power. Target angler is the serious inshore angler who fishes light to medium-heavy presentations and demands sensitivity approaching freshwater performance. Blanks use super high-modulus SCV carbon with FRS in the lower section plus external ART reinforcement, the combination St. Croix uses for their lightest, stiffest construction.
TET taper design provides optimized recovery. The series is uniformly fast-action across all four models, which suits the direct-feel demands of inshore work: popping corks, paddle tails, soft plastics, and gold spoons. All models sit at 7' or 7'6", appropriate for flats casting distances. Guide hardware is Fuji throughout. The four-rod subset divides into one casting and three spinning models. Casting: XSC70MHF (7' MH/F), the heaviest option, suited for heavier inshore lures or larger snook/redfish scenarios with baitcaster.
Spinning: three models at 7' and 7'6", with M and MH power options. The 7' M and MH cover standard flats presentations; the 7'6" M extends reach for wade fishing or long flat presentations at 3/8–3/4 oz. Light (ML or L) spinning in this subset is absent.

A closer look at notable models.
The only casting model in this subset. MH/F on a 7' blank handles heavier inshore work with a baitcaster, bull redfish, large snook, or pitching docks with soft plastics. Covers 1/2–1.25 oz with braided or fluorocarbon leader rigs.
The longest and lightest spinning model. The extra 6" adds reach for wade fishing or long-distance popping cork presentations on flats. Medium power limits max lure weight to 3/4 oz, trout and smaller redfish territory.
