The Mojo Bass is St. Croix's volume bass series, positioned to cover tournament and recreational freshwater bass fishing at a mid-range price. It fits anglers who want SCIII carbon fiber construction and premium guide hardware without stepping up to the Legend or Avid tiers. Both spinning and casting presentations are addressed across a broad range of techniques, from finesse spinning to heavy flipping.

Blanks are SCIII carbon fiber, reinforced with Fortified Resin System (FRS) technology. The 2025 Trigon redesign introduced an anthropometric TRIGON handle profile and GRASP II reel seat intended to reduce grip fatigue. Kigan Master Hand 3D guides are fitted throughout. The series carries a 5-year warranty. Pricing runs $180-$339. The lineup splits roughly 14 casting and 7 spinning models.

Casting lengths run 6'8" to 7'6", powers from ML to H. Spinning models span 6'10" to 7'3", powers ML to MH. XF action models appear in both casting and spinning sides for soft plastic and finesse work; M action variants cover crankbait and swimsuit applications. The lineup does not include very long rods or dedicated punching/heavy cover models.

Extra-fast M power casting model suited for topwater and single-hook soft plastics where an instant tip response sharpens hook sets. The 6'8" length keeps it manageable for pitching and skipping under docks.

JOS610MLXF Spinning · 6'10" · ML · XF action

Shortest spinning model in the series. XF action at ML power suits drop-shot and Ned rig applications where tip sensitivity and a fast hook-set angle matter more than casting distance.

JOC72MHM Casting · 7'2" · MH · M action

Moderate action MH casting rod designed for crankbaits and reaction lures. The M action gives the parabolic bend that keeps treble-hooked fish connected through a fight while still loading the blank for long casts.

JOS73MLXF Spinning · 7'3" · ML · XF action

Longer XF finesse spinning option; the extra length over the 6'10" model improves casting distance with light rigs and provides more leverage for working baits at range.
