The Mojo Bass Casting series (current generation: Trigon) covers the full range of bass fishing casting techniques from finesse to extreme big-bait applications. Built on SCIII carbon fiber using St. Croix's Fortified Resin System, it sits in the mid-premium tier, below the Legend Elite and Taper but with genuine technique-specific differentiation instead of just power steps. The target angler is a tournament or serious recreational bass fisherman needing one series that handles multiple applications without the cost of a top-tier build.
Blanks are SCIII high-modulus graphite with IPC tooling. The Trigon generation adds St. Croix's GRASP handle system, a Dynamix reel seat, and stainless steel guides with aluminum-oxide inserts. Agglomerated cork grips. The series uses action-power pairing to distinguish technique roles instead of covering a narrow swath of techniques, the lineup includes fast, extra-fast, and moderate-fast actions across the same series, which is unusual and signals genuine technique specificity.
Eight casting models ranging from 6'10" ML/MF (finesse) to 8'3" XXH (telescoping mag swimbait). The 7'10" slot alone holds four models (H/F, XH/F, H/M, XH/M) covering swimbait, frog, flipping, and punching. The 8'3" XXH is a dedicated mag-swimbait stick with telescoping construction for 4–8 oz lures. The 7'3" XH extra-fast handles frog and topwater work. Spinning models in this SKU is absent.
Deeper Dive
A closer look at notable models.
Finesse casting model in a series otherwise dominated by heavy-power sticks. Serves Ned rig, drop shot on casting gear, and lighter jigs where spinning is not preferred.
XF (extra-fast) action signals frog, topwater, and flipping work where instant power transfer is needed. The narrower lure weight range (3/8-7/8 oz) suits hollow-body frogs and light-medium topwater.
Stepped-up swimbait and punching stick, XH power and fast action for punching heavy mats and throwing magnum swimbaits. Designed for situations where the H/F model lacks backbone.
Primary swimbait and large single-hook application model. Fast action gives quicker hookset and sensitivity for slow-rolled swimbaits versus the moderate-fast JOC711HMF. The 14-80 lb line rating reflects braid-to-fluorocarbon or straight braid use.
Dedicated mag-swimbait rod, the longest and most powerful in the series. Telescoping construction (T suffix) collapses for transport. The 4–8 oz lure range serves 3/4–1 lb+ swimbaits.
