Mojo Bass Glass

The Mojo Bass Glass is a specialized fiberglass crankbait series sold as the entry-to-mid point in St. Croix's glass rod offerings. It addresses the specific problem of carbon rods' stiffness on treble-hook lures: when a fish rolls or jumps, a fast-action graphite blank can torque the hook free, whereas fiberglass loads and absorbs those surges. Target angler is the freshwater bass fisherman who cranks diving plugs, lipless cranks, or shallow squarebills regularly and wants dedicated glass without a premium price. All rods use 100% linear S-glass (not E-glass) with St. Croix's IPC mandrel technology.

S-glass has higher tensile and flex strength than standard E-glass, allowing comparable performance at less wall thickness. The result is moderate action across all four models, the defining characteristic for crankbait work. Kigan Master Hand 3D guides with slim aluminum-oxide rings and split-grip cork handles are standard. These are single-piece casting rods only; Spinning variants exist in the series is absent. Rod weights run 5.0–5.5 oz, notably heavier than carbon equivalents at the same length. Four casting models span 6'10" to 7'4", all moderate action.

The 6'10" M/M (JOC610MM) is the shortest and lightest, ideal for smaller squarebills and lipless cranks on lighter line. The 7'2" models offer two power levels: the M/M serves general cranking and the H/M is for heavier plug bodies or braided-line applications. The 7'4" MH/M at the top of the range handles larger crankbaits that need more leverage without losing the glass parabolic feel.
