The Rift Jig is St. Croix's dedicated saltwater vertical jigging series built for nearshore and offshore anglers working metal jigs from a boat. The 12-model lineup gives anglers parallel casting (conventional) and spinning options across the same six length/power combinations, covering line weights from 20 lb through 150 lb. This series targets species such as snapper, grouper, amberjack, striped bass, and other structure-oriented saltwater fish. Blanks use St. Croix's IPC (Integrated Poly Curve) mandrel technology, which eliminates transitional stress points across the blank for smoother load curves under the repeated high-speed jigging stroke.
The reverse-tapered grip design reduces fatigue over extended jigging sessions. Blanks are described as thinner and lighter than prior-generation Rift rods while maintaining equivalent or greater strength. All models pair with Fuji stainless hooded reel seats. No specific guide brand or material is listed in available sources beyond standard saltwater-grade hardware. The lineup is organized identically across casting and spinning: six models per style covering 5'6" XXH (65–150 lb), 5'8" H (40–80 lb), 5'8" XH (50–100 lb), 6'0" MH (30–65 lb), 6'6" M (20–50 lb), and 6'6" MH (30–65 lb).
Length increases generally correspond to lighter power ratings and deeper-water applications where additional blank length aids jig control. The heavier short models handle high-speed jigging at depth for larger species.

A closer look at notable models.
Heaviest and shortest casting model; 65–150 lb line for extreme-duty vertical jigging on large amberjack, big grouper, or bluefin tuna near deep structure. The short blank maximizes power transmission on fast lifts.
Spinning counterpart to the RIFCJ56XXH; same 65–150 lb range for anglers who prefer spinning reels for high-speed jigging, which can aid retrieve speed on assisted jig techniques.
Spinning parallel to the RIFCJ66M; same light application but with spinning reel for easier slow-pitch cadence and finer jigging control at reduced line weights.
Lightest and longest conventional model; 20–50 lb range and 6'6" length for lighter jigs in shallower or moderate-depth water. Suited to finesse slow-pitch or medium-speed jigging for snapper and light reef species.
