The Rogue V Boat is St. Croix's nearshore saltwater boat rod series, built for species common to nearshore Atlantic and Gulf Coast fishing: king mackerel, cobia, snapper, and similar mid-to-large coastal species. St. Croix's own product copy states it explicitly, "Power tools for nearshore bruisers", and distinguishes it from dedicated offshore or freshwater applications. Blanks are Matrix Composite construction with Integrated Poly Curve (IPC) tooling, Aerodynamic Rod Technology (ART), and Fortified Resin System (FRS).

Guides use Alconite rings in stainless frames. Handles are full-grip premium EVA with non-marking rubber gimbals for rod holder compatibility. The series carries a 5-year warranty. MSRP runs $220–$255. No lure weight ratings are published, line weight is the sole load specification. The 20-rod lineup splits evenly: 10 conventional (SEIC prefix) and 10 spinning (SEIS prefix). Both formats are offered in two length groups (6'9" and 7'3") with identical power/action ladders: ML/MF, M/F, MH/F, H/F, XH/F.

This clean mirror structure means every power class is available in both reel styles and both lengths. Gaps is absent. The 7'3" models cost ~$5-15 more than 6'9" equivalents.

Lightest model in the series, ML/MF at 10-30lb. The moderate-fast action and light line rating position this for live-bait presentations for schoolie kings, Spanish mackerel, and light flounder rigs, the only MF action in a lineup otherwise all-fast.

SEIC69XH Trolling · 6'9" · XH · F action

Heaviest 6'9" model at 40-120lb. The broad line range covers both heavy mono for large cobia and braid for deep-drop snapper rigs. XH at 6'9" provides lift authority without the reach penalty of the 7'3" variant.
