Seage

The Seage is St. Croix's specialized surf casting series, made for Northeast US surf anglers pursuing striped bass, bluefish, false albacore, and other coastal species. All 12 models are two-handed spinning rods ranging from 7' to 12', with line ratings from 15 lb to 65 lb and lure weights from 3/8 oz up to 16 oz. The series covers the full spectrum of surf distances, shorter rods for wading near structure, longer builds for maximum casting range from open beaches. Blanks are built on a new formulation of SCII carbon material with added ART (Advanced Reinforcing Technology) exotic carbon fiber scrim, which increases hoop strength to prevent blank ovaling under heavy loads without meaningful weight or diameter increase.

Veil technology, an additional fibrous component, further stiffens and stabilizes the blank under full bend. Guides are Sea Guide Hero Hi-Grade aluminum-oxide frames, suitable for heavy braided mainlines. Reel seats are Sea Guide NPS. Grips are Winn material covered in shrink tubing for comfort and durability in wet/salty conditions. A 15-year warranty backs the series. The 12 models organize into short (7'–9') general-purpose and structure models, and long (10'–12') distance casting models. Several models come in both Moderate-Fast and Moderate actions at the same length, notably the 9' and 10'6" classes, allowing anglers to match blank speed to plug or metal presentation style.

The 12' SES120HMF2 is the longest and heaviest, rated H power at 6–16 oz for maximum distance with large sinker rigs or heavy surface plugs.
