The Victory is St. Croix's mid-tier American-made bass rod, based on SCIII+ high-modulus hybrid carbon fiber with Fortified Resin System (FRS) technology. SCIII+ combines properties of their SCIII and SCVI blanks to deliver reduced weight while maintaining strength. The series fits anglers who want US-made construction at or under the $200 price point, with technique-specific models across casting and spinning. It carries a 15-year warranty. Components include Fuji Concept O guides with deep-press inserts for braid compatibility, split-grip cork handles, and IPC tooling for smooth action transitions.
The Victory sits between the entry-level Mojo Bass and the upper-tier Legend Tournament Bass in the St. Croix freshwater stack. It is handcrafted in Park Falls, Wisconsin. The series skews toward longer, heavier casting models suited to power techniques, with spinning models concentrating in the XF and MF action range for finesse work. The 22-model lineup covers 6'8"–7'11" in 14 casting and 8 spinning configurations. Casting models run M through XH power, with actions from M to XF. Notable for including extra-fast variants on H/XH blanks for heavy-cover flipping and pitching.
Spinning models are 6'8"–7'10" concentrated in ML–MH power with XF and MF actions for drop shot, Ned rig, and finesse techniques. The three 7'10" models (two casting, one spinning) are the longest in the lineup and address big-water techniques requiring maximum casting range.
Deeper Dive
A closer look at notable models.
Shorter casting model at 6'8" M/XF. Serves topwater and reaction baits on medium line where a shorter lever provides more snap on surface walk-the-dog presentations and short-distance pitching.
H power with medium action addresses deep-diving crankbaits. The moderate load arc keeps trebles pinned during the fight and allows the rod to load properly on a long-line crank retrieve.
XH with line to 80lb and lure to 5oz is the heavy-cover punching and big swimbait rod in the lineup. The 7'10" length maximizes leverage for pulling fish out of matted vegetation or working large paddle-tail swimmers.
Longest spinning model at 7'10" ML/XF, designed for long-distance finesse. Drop shot and Ned rig at extended range on clear-water fisheries where staying away from fish is critical to success.
