Brigade Flip

The Tenryu Brigade Flip (BFT prefix, Shore series) is a Japanese shore-based light-game spinning rod line covering eging (squid jigging with egi lures), light shore jigging, ajing, and related LRF techniques. Built for the angler working off rocky shorelines, breakwaters, or jetties in Japan where multi-technique versatility from a single rod is valued. It is distinct from the Brigade Flip TR (offshore boat version) and the Brigade Flip BGF (eging-focused). The BFT shore models lean toward crossover capability between squid and light finfish techniques.

Blanks use Tenryu's Magna-Flex construction, a method that integrates CNT (carbon nanotube) reinforcement in the butt section for strength under load, with a sensitive tip section tuned for detecting light squid strikes or ajing bites. K-guide system with stainless frame and SiC rings throughout, LDB guide at the tip for line management. The action profiles step from R on the lightest model to RF on the two heavier ones, reflecting a shift toward more tip speed on the models intended for deeper eging or heavier IKA-metal jigs.

Three spinning models, no casting: 5'11" BFT5112S-MLS (ML/Regular, lightest presentation, shallow eging), 6'3" BFT632S-MHS (MH/Regular-Fast, mid-depth eging, light jigging), 6'7" BFT672S-MS (M/Regular-Fast, versatile mid-length for 25–40g egi at 20–40m depth, usable with IKA-metal up to 56g and super-light jigging). Length steps from short-and-light to mid-length versatile.
